DSHIO-GRADE · Grading

Five grades, A to E. The grade is computed from test results, not assigned by hand.

A grade answers one question: can I install this with confidence?

What it does not answer is stated too: it does not judge features, does not judge fit for your scenario, and is not a security endorsement.

The five grades

GradeNameConditionMeaning
AActiveT0–T5 all pass and updated within 90 days Works and is maintained
BWorkingT0–T5 all passWorks
CBootsT0–T4 pass, T5 untested Installs and boots; function unverified
DFaultyA failure among T1–T4Install or boot problem
EUnusableT0 or T1 fails / removedCannot install or gone

Algorithm

if T0 == fail or T1 == fail:
    grade = E
elif T2 == fail or T3 == fail or T4 == fail:
    grade = D
elif T5 == untested:
    grade = C
elif T5 == fail:
    grade = D
else:  # T0-T5 all pass
    grade = A if last_push within 90 days else B
Why a T5 failure is D, not C. T5 failing means the tool cannot be invoked — the plugin installs and loads but cannot be used. That is worse than "we do not know" (C), so it drops to D.

Grades are not permanent

How to read a grade

A grade is a category, not a score. C is not "60 marks"; it means "we verified as far as booting". A is not "full marks"; it means "the current version passed all six gates we run".

Feature quality is not in this system. A small plugin with three features that passes everything is grade A. A powerful plugin that will not install is grade E.

"Untested" never means "failed". This is the hard rule of DSHIO, see the overview.
