DSHIO Standard v1.0
A public standard for DeepSeek Harness plugins: how to build them, how to test them, how to grade them, how to list them, how to rate their risk, and how to rank them.
Why a standard exists.
DSH is an everything-is-a-plugin framework, but the official docs define only the
runtime interface, not plugin quality. The official position is explicit:
the project does not vouch for third-party plugin correctness.
The result: 35,000 plugins with no shared bar. The same plugin is "verified" on one site and "unverified" on another, and users cannot tell whom to believe.
DSHIO exists to write the bar down: what counts as acceptable, in clauses anyone can check.

How to read a standard number
Every standard carries an identifier in four parts, following the GB/T convention:
DSHIO/T 02—2026 │ │ │ └── year of publication │ │ └───── serial number │ └──────── standard nature └─────────────── issuing body
| Part | Meaning | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| DSHIO | Issuing body | DeepSeek Harness Input/Output — the body that publishes this standard |
| /T | Nature | Recommended technical standard (T = tuijian, recommended), following the GB/T convention. It is not mandatory — you may ignore it; conforming simply means your plugin can be verified |
| 02 | Serial number | One fixed number per standard, listed below. A serial number is never reassigned |
| 2026 | Year | The year the standard was first published. Revisions keep this year; the edition is expressed by v1.0 / v1.1 |
Why an em dash rather than a hyphen.
That is the GB/T convention, as in
GB/T 1.1—2020. The longer dash separates the
serial number from the year at a glance in running text.Serial number register
| No. | Standard | Title |

| 00 | DSHIO/T 00—2026 | Overview |
| 01 | DSHIO/T 01—2026 | Development |

How to read the edition
Each standard also has an edition of the form vMAJOR.MINOR:
| Position | Meaning | Increments when | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Major | Substantive revision | A clause changes incompatibly — a previously conforming plugin may stop conforming | v1.0 → v2.0 |
| Minor | Editorial revision | A clause is added or clarified, backwards compatible | v1.0 → v1.1 |
When the edition matters.
If you cite this standard in a document, tool or article, quote both the standard number and
the edition, e.g. "DSHIO/T 02—2026 v1.0". Otherwise a reader cannot tell which clauses you
mean once the standard is revised.
Example edition history
| Edition | Published | Type | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|
| v1.0 | 2026-11-06 | First release | The standard is established |
| v1.1 | (example) | Minor | A failure code is added; existing clauses unchanged |
| v2.0 | (example) | Major | Grade A is redefined; earlier verdicts void |
Standard status
| Status | Meaning | Usable |
|---|---|---|
| Current | The version in force | Yes |
| Pending | Published, effective date not reached | For reference; verdicts still follow the current edition |
| Withdrawn | Superseded by a newer edition | Not for new verdicts; archived only |
All six standards are Current, with publication and effective dates both 2026-11-06.
How to cite
Any of the following forms is acceptable in an article, tool or README:
| Language | Format |
|---|---|
| Chinese | DSHIO/T 02—2026《测试标准》v1.0 |
| English | DSHIO/T 02—2026, Testing Standard, v1.0 |
| Short (context is clear) | DSHIO/T 02—2026 v1.0 |
On reuse.
This standard is licensed CC BY 4.0: copy, redistribute and adapt freely. The only
requirement is to attribute the source and the edition. No fee, no permission needed —
but keep the standard number and edition so readers can trace the original.
Three standing commitments
1. The standard is public and verdicts are reproducible.
Every clause lives on this site and anyone can read it. Every verdict carries its evidence
(command output, report file), so you can rerun it and compare.
2. Untested is not the same as failing.
A plugin we have not tested is marked "untested", never "failed". The standard draws conclusions
only about what has actually been run. This rule is absolute — mixing the two would void the
whole system.
3. Placement can be bought; ranking cannot.
Organic ranking is a function of data only and does not move for money. Paid placement is
labelled "promoted" and does not alter organic rank. See DSHIO-RANK.
How to use it
| You are | Use it like this |
|---|---|
| A plugin author | Build to DSHIO-DEV, self-test with DSHIO-TEST, and take the grade into the recommendation pool |
| A user | Read the grade from DSHIO-GRADE and the risk from DSHIO-RISK |
| Another directory | You may cite this standard with attribution (CC BY 4.0) |
